Healing Childhood Depression
This year’s World Health Day theme tackles depression, a common mental health condition that negatively affects how people feel, the way that they think and how they act.
The World Health Organisation and health experts say childhood depression can be overcome, with parents and guardians being encouraged to recognise signs of depression in children, especially if there is a noticeable behavioural change: they feel sad or becoming more irritable and find it more difficult to get pleasure out of activities.
