Dubai’s urbanisation over the past four decades has been captured from outer space through a series of images posted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA.

The images captures an image of the emirate from 1977, tracking Dubai’s growth up until 2017.

Over the years, Dubai has been captured several times from outer space, with The Palm islands being the most photographed.
