Dubai Municipality has launched ‘The Beach Library Initiative’, in a bid to help spread knowledge and culture among beachgoers.

The first of 8 such libraries have already opened, located at Umm Suqeim 1, which allows beachgoers to borrow a book for a read as they spend time by the sea.

Books are available in English and Arabic, with several titles also catering to children’s entertainment.
